Happy Christmas Dot I've had a lovely day today, I called at the Stags for a pint with the lads then went to our Anne and David's for my dinner. David has to go into hospital tomorrow for more chemotherapy for five days. He wasn't too bad really but he said he always feels cold, tired and breathless. The dinner was lovely with beef and Turkey and I finished off with Christmas pudding and sauce. After dinner I had a little snooze (surprise surprise haha) then we played pool on their snooker table until approx 9pm. I was going to go to the Dread but I changed my mind and just came home as I had eaten too much I think. I'll keep myself right for tomorrow as the Newcastle game is on tv at 3 o'clock. I've been in touch with Debra and she is calling round on Thursday or Friday this week. She was trying to call round on Christmas eve but she thought she had left it too late after being at Alan's. I am seeing Alan on Tuesday as he has invited me for a meal. I don't know whether it is in their house or they are going somewhere but I am looking forward to it. I haven't been in touch with Michael yet but will probably give him a ring tomorrow. I got Debra and Mark a restaurant voucher for Turtle bay which is one of the new restaurants they have opened up along where Safeway used to be. I had a lovely cruise around the Canary islands on 02/12/22 for a week on P&O's Azura ship. You would have loved it, I flew into Tenerife then sailed to Gran Canaria, Madeira, Lanzarote then back to Tenerife. The weather wasn't great all the time but it was still warm. Unlike when I got back it was freezing for about a week. Well that's about it for the news Dot, I might go to the Newcastle v Leeds game on New Year's eve so might end up with an early night (might haha). It's now five years since we last had a Christmas dinner together and I was remembering all the lovely dinners you made, with your Mam and Michael and the twins st our house.
