Hello everyone, once again my fellow walkers and I are doing our annual sponsored walk in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in memory of my wife Dorothy Dot Rochford.
Everyone to meet at the Market Place, Durham City approx 11:00 03/09/23 Sunday for a sponsored walk (about 6.5 miles) fancy dress optional. We will leave the Market Place and proceed from there up to the Cathedral then onto the Riverbanks walking up to the Rose Tree public house at Shincliffe (where we may stop for a sociable drink). We will then walk back down the other side of the Riverbank back into the City centre. The walk should take approx 2.5 hours and we will hopefully have collection tins for any donations from the public.
This year two of our friends Tracey Miller and Helen MacGregor are also running in the Great North Run 10/09/2023 in aid of MNDA in memory of Dot. So if you are running or watching the race please give them your full support.
PS Durham route may change due to weather conditions etc.
